Starting v0.4 Sprint

We have received a lot of constructive feedback regarding the lack of synergy between our design and copy editor, and there were too many frictions between generating content and shipping it.

There was so much to do, click a button, generate it, copy it, click the "Add text" button, paste it, style it, and before finally downloading it.

Our newer version will tackle those issues, into "You can insta-generate copy here if you want, and just download it".

"We need to reduce as many frictions as possible to make the synergy between both features seamless." 🙂

What's new?

• Now you can save multiple frames.
• Fixed a bug where you can't download an image with shadow.

What's next:

• Migrating from Heroku to AWS. The reason is kinda similar to why Doordash migrated from Heroku to AWS, mostly performance issues.
• Fix "bugs" (it's a feature) in the multiple frames where you have to click the page first to update the frame.

• The churning reason because of "I need multiple frames" is now sleeping peacefully. Forever 😈

• Shortcuts dictionary (We have so many shortcuts, so we decided to add one more shortcut to see all the shortcuts. Yeah. Command+K or Ctrl+K to access)
• Redesigning Copy Editor (Why?: some tweet)
• You can customize the color for illustration
• You can group multiple elements

Some bug fixes:

• Fixed a bug where highlighting multiple elements didn't work
• Fixed a bug where you can't delete an illustrator

Platform safety 🔒, and design editor

"First, Define your goals in life. Second, Think of where you want to be in 10 years. Third, Work hard to enjoy your life." I got a chat notification from a friend who tested my copy editor.

He sarcastically asked me, "Do you know what is the prompt? It's Three tips to drink piss from a jar."

If you thought the result was bad, it was because there was a bug in the code that I fixed in the newer version. I then generate the prompt again for the meme, the result was:

"First, Empty your bladder completely. Second, Rinse out the jar with hot water. Third, Wash your hands with soap."

I was truly impressed, but I cannot stop thinking, what if people are using the technology for something bad? Like, "three tips to get away with murder" or something else. So yeah, this is why I started ✨ trust and safety ✨ initiative for Grammable. We ban some bad words, inappropriate words, etc to keep our platform as safe as possible. If you are interested in knowing the words I ban, please feel free to contact me and state your intention.
